Dehorning is mainly recommended for the health and safety of both herd and owner. It is a labour-intensive and skilled operation, with important animal welfare implications.

DEHORNING PLIERS
There are a few different ways you can dehorn your cattle but the most common approach is to use dehorning pliers.

When you only need tackle one pair of horns, a roll of dehorning wire will be a far more cost-effective approach.

TRI-SOLFEN
To aid recovery time of dehorning be sure to use Tri-solfen. Tri-solfen has multiply benefits such as:
- Immediate (within 1 min) and prolonged pain relief for at least 24 hours post-procedure
- Reduces bleeding, abating shock and stress
- Reduces the risk of bacterial wound infection
- Assists in wound healing by sealing and protecting the wound
